#4 Oilers Finish Day One at American Dunes
Grand Haven, Mich. - The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked No. 4 nationally by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), opened play at the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan on Monday September 8th. After the first round, the Oilers sit in 11th place with a team score of 305 (+17).
Findlay stands thirteen strokes behind first-place Baylor University, who recorded a team score of four-over 292. The Oilers are positioned just four strokes back of Florida State, two strokes behind Michigan State, and a single stroke behind both Ohio State and Arizona.
Junior Ashleigh Duflo paced the Oilers with an opening round of three-over 75. Sophomore Gracie James and senior Hayley Dye were just one shot back, each carding four-over 76s. James highlighted her round with an eagle on the par-5 13th and a closing birdie on the par-5 18th, while Dye also capped her steady round with a birdie on the 18th. Senior Ellie Yeazell contributed to the team scoring with a six-over 78.
Rounding out the lineup, junior Audrey Keplar posted a ten-over 82.

- Oilers Drop Opener Against LeeCleveland, Tenn. - The University of Findlay men's soccer team, who ranked number 16 in the national preseason poll, opened up their season on Sunday, Sep. 7 with a match-up against Lee University. The reigning Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) tournament champion Oilers would fall in the opener, as the Flames would take the 3-1 victory. Findlay drops to 0-1 to begin the campaign, while Lee rises to 2-0.

The Oilers swept Lander 3-0 before falling 3-1 to no. 10 and host Tampa in the nightcap.
